The Under-14 Girls were the big winners of the IBC junior classes this weekend, wiping out Baddow Eagles 101-45 at Copleston behind a high-paced second half.

Alicia Boddy starred with 30 points; Makenna Williams added on 15 and Yasmin Edwards had 14.

The Under-18 Men beat Harlow Hawks handily for the second weekend in a row, 78-40, with Ben Winter registering 24 points and Blake Read scoring 23. Harlow, at home this time, put up more of a fight than previously but Ipswich will face tougher opponents ahead.

Syd Payne’s Under-14 Boys went close to victory at home to Luton but despite Idriss Lebbie’s 31 points, the visitors clung on to a narrow 67-64 win.

There were also losses on the road in London for the Under-16 Girls, who went down 71-61 at Haringey Angels, and the Under-16 Boys, whose playoff hopes were dented by an 85-69 reversal at Lewisham Thunder.
