Ipswich East Suffolk 0 Dereham 5
Some good second half defending from Ipswich East Suffolk kept the score line down against league leaders Dereham.
This was always going to be a tough match and IES realised they were in for a rough ride when Dereham proved their top of the table credentials by scoring within the first ten minutes of the game.
Undaunted by this start, IES pushed forward themselves, with Ellie Mason and captain Linda Rose once again linking well in midfield.
In the first half Dereham took their chances and neatly knocked in three more goals to leave IES contemplating a big score against them.
However, in-form keeper Faye Godden once again made some critical saves and good work from Anne Edney down the right provided some welcome relief for the under-pressure defensive line.
The final score belies a hard fought game from IES who can now look forward to next week's journey to Bourne with confidence.
