IPSWICH Town manager Paul Jewell could start with the same team for the fifth game running at Cardiff City tomorrow.

The Blues have benefited from a settled side in recent weeks, taking 10 points from the four games before the international break.

And with players having recovered from minor injuries and Carlos Edwards having been spared a jail sentence, it looks like it will be the same line-up which takes to the field in Wales.

Jewell confirmed at this morning’s press conference that Edwards is mentally fine to play, despite a traumatic week in which he’s seen his wife give birth prematurely to twins before he was handed a suspended jail sentence for driving offences.

Centre-backs Danny Collins and Ibrahima Sonko have trained all week, with the latter having battled through a series of niggles in recent games and the former having pulled out of the Wales squad last week with a tight groin.

Midfielder Keith Andrews returned to training this morning having been given an extra days rest following his appearance for the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday night.

Daryl Murphy (hamstring) and Lee Martin (eye) are training again following recent injuries, although Jewell confirmed the latter will not travel to Cardiff as he is still not able to head the ball as he recovers from his freak golf accident.

On loan right-back Reece Wabara (Manchester City) and winger Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, both on the bench in recent weeks, are injury doubts.

The former aggravated the torn hamstring injury he suffered on England Under-20 over the summer during Town’s reserve team game last week.

Emmanuel-Thomas has suffered a set-back with the ankle injury he sustained against Leeds and had injections this week to try and settle it down.
