Town defender Alex Bruce has joined Leicester City on loan for the rest of the season.
The 25-year-old, who was former Town boss Jim Magilton's first signing at Portman Road, agreed terms on the move yesterday and could make the move permanent in the summer if all parties are happy.
Bruce has been forced to sit on the bench lately due to the form of defensive duo Gareth McAuley and Damien Delaney and will be looking to gain regular first team football at The Walkers Stadium.
Bruce was briefly named Ipswich captain by manager Roy Keane last autumn and the Norwich-born defender has made 127 appearances and scored three goals for the Blues.
