NEWCASTLE United reserve team manager Lee Clark has been given permission to speak to Norwich about becoming assistant manager to new City boss Glenn Roeder.
The Canaries hope to have Clarke in place in time for Sunday's derby duel with Ipswich Town and are currently discussing personal terms
Roeder drafted the former Magpies midfielder, who also had spells with Sunderland and Fulham, into the coaching team at St James' Park when he replaced Graeme Souness as Newcastle boss.
