BILLY Clark has described his outburst on Twitter – in the wake of hearing he would not be offered a new contract – as an act of emotion.
Raw at being told the news by Paul Jewell, Clark responded to a friend’s tweet by saying he was “glad to be out of there to be honest”.
Initially angered by the public show of dissent, the Town boss later sought to forget the actions of a clearly distraught youngster.
And Clark said: “I was a bit upset with everything that had happened. I probably didn’t write it the way I wanted it to come out – I just wanted to be playing football.
“I wish I hadn’t said anything now. Paul was angry about it and understandably. I do regret it but it was just emotion.”
