NATHAN Ellington might have played his way into Paul Jewell’s thinking for Monday night’s televised match against Coventry City after netting a hat-trick for Ipswich Town reserves this afternoon.

The opposition might have only been Gillingham and the scoreline 8-1, but Ellington did everything asked of him with his treble.
