Former Ipswich Town loanee Paul Green has signed for Rotherham United, becoming the third former Blues player to join Steve Evans’ team this summer, after Scott Loach and Frazer Richardson.

The former Leeds midfielder spent time on loan at Ipswich towards the end of last season and was keen to return to Suffolk, but has now elected to become the Millers’ 11th signing of the summer instead.

“We are delighted to have signed Paul after several chats with his representatives,” boss Steve Evans said.

“The lad had a magnificent finish to the season with Ipswich Town so it wasn’t a surprise to find there was significant interest in him, so we are very pleased to add him to our squad.

“I think the lure of Championship football, knowing what we are about as a football club and our magnificent stadium all helped to convince him that this was the club for him.”
