Ipswich Town look set for a quick reunion with former winger Lee Martin, with the 26-year-old destined to join Millwall on a one-year deal.

Town host Millwall in their first home game of the season, on August 10, and Martin could well be in Steve Lomas’ side, provided he passes a medical at The New Den.

The winger left the club at the end of the season, although we understand he was offered reduced terms by the Blues, following four seasons at Portman Road.

Martin began his career at Manchester United and went on to enjoy loan spells at Rangers, Stoke, Sheffield United, Nottingham Forest and Plymouth, before making the move to Suffolk.

He played 106 times for Ipswich, scoring six times, and was sent out on loan to Charlton in the summer of 2010.
