Ipswich v Bristol Rovers: The Super Blues kicked off their 2012/13 season with a bang after a 3-1 victory over Bristol Rovers in the Capital One Cup.
After impressive pre-season wins over West Ham and Colchester United, Paul Jewell’s young guns booked their place in today’s second round draw thanks to goals from Jason Scotland, Tommy Smith and Aaron Cresswell.
The victory means Town will go into Saturday’s Championship curtain-raiser at home to Blackburn Rovers in great heart.
