Town lost the East Anglian derby 1-0 at Portman Road this afternoon. MIKE BACON gives his marks out of 10 and you can do the same.
33 Bartosz BIALKOWSKI...6
Quite frankly, like his opposite number Angus Gunn, he had very little to do in a game devoid of many clear-cut chances. Had no chance with the goal, as James Maddison picked his spot perfectly.
3 Jonas KNUDSEN... 7
Shot hit the post in the first few minutes and if that had gone in, who knows what derby day clash we would have had? Seems to raise his game well on derby day, even heading just wide with the final corner of the match.

12 Jordan SPENCE... 5
Untidy at times and looked very nervous. He was booked in the first half, and was given a torrid time down his side of the pitch. Much better player than he showed today, will have to put this game behind him.

4 Luke CHAMBERS... 6
Vital blocks at vital times, the skipper whipped the crowd up into a frenzy before kick-off in only the way he can. Had a physical battle with Cameron Jerome which both players will take the positives from.
6 Adam WEBSTER... 6
Getting back to full fitness, Webster showed glimpses of what he is all about, occasionally pinging the ball crossfield. Like Chambers, coped with Jerome’s presence pretty well.
22 Tristan NYDAM... 8
Strong tackles for someone so young and always wanted the ball. Mick McCarthy showed enough faith in the teenager to start the game. It was a good decision and Nydam was never overawed by it. Substituted as Town chased the equaliser. Ipswich’s best player.
9 Martyn WAGHORN... 5
A curate’s egg of a performance from Waghorn, good in parts. Some of his corners were poor, but he never hid from taking them, and free-kicks in and around the area. Like all the Town players, workrate not in question.
8 Cole SKUSE... 6
Solid in the middle of the park, shirked nothing. Was just coming back on the pitch after a heavy tackle saw him go off for treatment when City scored. His experience will be of huge importance to help the likes of Nydam and Flynn Downes.
15 Tom ADEYEMI...5
Back in the side after injury, worked hard and won plenty of headers, substituted on the hour. One senses there is much more to come from the former Norwich Academy player.
10 David McGOLDRICK... 5
Missed a great headed chance from six yards out in the first half which surely would have been a game changer had it had gone in a match of few big opportunities. Not much came off for McGoldrick today and he failed to influence the game.
14 Joe GARNER...5
Tigerish as usual and never gave Norwich defenders a rest, especially in the first half. But was quieter in the second and eventually found himself substituted.
Subs:
21 Flynn DOWNES
Booked within two minutes of coming on with a robust challenge.
20 Freddie SEARS
Didn’t have enough time to really influence the game after coming on with 13 minutes to go.
11 Bersant CELINA
Threatened with a late run but his shot came to nothing.
