Ipswich Town fans have been sharing whether or not they’ve got tickets for Saturday’s Portman Road return on social media - here’s a taste of what they’ve been saying, including why some didn’t apply for a ticket...

For the first time since March 7, Town fans will be present to watch their team play, with 2,000 set to be inside Portman Road for the visit of promotion rivals Portsmouth.

Season ticket holders could apply for tickets via a ballot, with the lucky ones who secured tickets being told via e-mail last night.

Many have spoken of their excitement at returning to Portman Road, while others have explained why they’ll stay away for the time being.

The return of fans coincides with what is arguably the biggest game of the season so far for the Blues, who are third in the League One table, as they bid to beat a serious promotion rival for the first time - Pompey are fourth, just a point behind Paul Lambert’s men .
