Ipswich Town fans have been reacting to the news that Cardiff City have accepted the Blues’ bid for much-prized midfield target Emyr Huws -and it’s fair to say they’re happy!

It emerged earlier today that Cardiff have accepted Town’s offer, with the clubs now set to hammer out a deal with the player who impressed so much on loan last season.

The 23-year-old scored three goals in 13 games for Town while on loan from the Bluebirds, including a cracker in the season-best 3-1 win over Newcastle United on Easter Monday.

If he does sign, he will fill a major hole for the Blues - that of a box-to-box midfielder who scores goals - and will join £1m striker Joe Garner and Manchester City winger Bersant Celina (set to sign on loan) as new faces at Portman Road.

A handful of exciting new signings would work wonders for the morale among Town fans, still reeling after the club’s worst season in 58 years and another hike in season ticket prices.
