Kieffer Moore wasted no time in opening his account for new club Rotherham United after his loan move from Ipswich Town was confirmed earlier this week.

The 6ft 5ins striker scored twice in his first game for the Millers as they thumped Floridsdorfer FC 7-1 in a friendly in Austria.

Moore, who made 11 substitute appearances for the Blues after signing from Forest Green in a £10k move last season, fired home a bullet header after 35 minutes in Austria.

He added a second from a shot six minutes later as he played 60 minutes in the easy victory.

The 24-year-old played and scored for Town in their 5-0 thumping of Drogheda in Ireland on Saturday, before getting straight on the plane to join Rotherham on a season-long loan.

Town boss Mick McCarthy has said that teenage right-back Josh Emmanuel will also make a season-long loan switch to Rotherham, but we understand that there are still discussions happening behind the scenes at Portman Road about whether that move should go ahead.
