Ipswich Town have announced the signing of winger Danny Rowe from National League club Macclesfield Town for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old came through the youth ranks at Stockport and has had spells with Barrow and AFC Fylde. He’s scored six goals for the mid-table Silkmen this season.
“It’s an exciting move for me, joining a massive club like Ipswich and I can’t wait to get going,” he said. “I know I have a lot to prove but I’ll be working as hard as I can to show everyone what I can do.
“I made my debut in the Football League for Stockport against Leeds at Elland Road and it’s a fantastic feeling to be back to that level again.”
Rowe has signed a contract until 2020 with the club holding the option of another year on top of that. He will join up with the Blues squad at Preston tomorrow afternoon but will not feature.
