Ipswich Town have signed young Barnsley midfielder Paul Digby on loan until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old, who has been capped by England at youth level and spent time on trial at Manchester United earlier in the campaign, has played 25 times for the Tykes, including three appearances this season.
Digby made his debut for Barnsley as a 16-year-old in 2011, having come through the club’s youth system, and was also said to be interesting Premier League side Liverpool.
The youngster, who is primarily a central midfielder but can also play at right back, has travelled with the Ipswich squad for today’s game at Burnley but will not be involved at Turf Moor.
You can see Digby in action in the above video from his time on trial at Manchester United. He is wearing number five.
