Ipswich Town remain in contact with Blackpool regarding defender Curtis Tilt but interest in a loan move for Cardiff striker Omar Bogle is cooling.
The Blues made an offer to loan Bogle, who played under Hurst and assistant Chris Doig at Grimsby, prior to the weekend but that move has taken a step backwards in recent days.
It is understood the Bluebirds would prefer a permanent sale, rather than a loan, while Birmingham City are also thought to be in the mix for Bogle’s services. Birmingham Live are reporting a potential move to St Andrew’s is close.
In regard to Tilt, conversations remain ongoing regarding a player who has submitted a transfer request in a bid to force through a move to Suffolk.

Negotiations have proved difficult, with Blackpool understood to have moved the goalposts regarding a fee having originally valued the defender at £1million.
Ipswich have had two bids rejected, with offers thought to have reached more than £600,000, while subsequents negotiations at one stage pointed towards a compromise.
However, that has not materialised and there is a feeling talks regarding the move could stretch until Thursday’s 5pm transfer deadline.
Tilt did not play for Blackpool at Wycombe on Saturday, with Tangerines boss Gary Bowyer admitting he left the player out as he was ‘mentally drained’ by the situation.
“He trained well last week but it’s human nature, isn’t it?” he told the Blackpool Gazette.

“It takes a lot out of you mentally when you’re being linked constantly. There’s been negotiations toing and froing from what I understand, and I just thought he looked a little bit mentally drained with it all. You can’t be doing that going into this game.
“But listen, he’s been no problem and I understand his situation but I had to make a call for the good of the team.
“The lad wants to play at a higher level, who can deny him? Well I know who can deny him, of course.
“But I can’t blame his ambition or bemoan him or anything like that. This time last year he was making his debut at 25 or 26 from non-league.”
