Ipswich Town will travel to Charlton for a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 29.
The Blues will head to The Valley to face the League One side for a 3pm kick-off, the weekend before the first round of Championship matches begin.
Ipswich played the Addicks in pre-season last summer, drawing 0-0, having seen Charlton drop from the Championship a couple of months earlier.
The teams’ last competitive meetings came in the Championship in the 2015-16 season, the Blues being held to a 0-0 draw at Portman Road in April 2016, having won 3-0 at The Valley earlier in the season, courtesy of two goals from Daryl Murphy and a Freddie Sears strike.
Town are close to confirming a number of other pre-season fixtures and details will be announced soon.
Last summer, Town won two and lost two of their six warm-up games, including a home loss to Belgian side, Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
