Ipswich Town are facing increased competition for the signature of Emy Huws.
The Blues were urged to make the Welsh midfielder, on loan from Cardiff City last season, their number one target in the summer in a web poll on this site in April. But, while Neil Warnock is expected to allow Huws to leave Cardiff, his fine form at the Blues last season has increased interest from other clubs.- Like our Facebook page for more Blues news
Bristol City and Wolves are both said to be competing with Town for the 23-year-old’s signature.
Huws scored three goals in 13 games for Town last campaign - including a cracker in the season-best 3-1 win over Newcastle – and brings many qualities to the pitch which the side needs.
But with the Blues having already missed out on striker target Marley Watkins, who signed for bitter rivals Norwich last week, can they persuade Huws to join?
The answer could be key for the future of Mick McCarthy at Portman Road.
