JORDAN Rhodes bagged a brace of goals as Ipswich Town enjoyed another goal romp in the Pontins Holidays Combination East Division, this time with a 5-1 win at Peterborough United last night.

The 17-year-old striker scored the first two goals before United hit back.

Liam Trotter extended the Blues lead three minutes before the break and Ipswich overcame the challenging conditions in the second half.

Dean Bowditch netted from the penalty spot after Gary Roberts was fouled a minute from time.

Roberts rounded off the scoring with an excellent solo goal in the dying moments.

Also in the closing stages Fabian Wilnis picked up a dead leg but he should be fine for the weekend.

Gavin Williams got through a good 70 minutes after playing his first real competitive football since rupturing ankle ligaments more than three months ago.

He will be further assessed this morning but it is unlikely he will figure in the game at Cardiff on the weekend.

Ipswich Town Reserves: Plummer, Sito, Wilnis, Synnott, Robinson, Upson, Trotter, Williams, Roberts, Bowditch and Rhodes. Subs: Watson, Ward, Reason, Murphy and Clemo.
