LEE Martin has been recalled from his loan spell at Charlton Athletic by new Ipswich Town boss Paul Jewell.

Winger Martin had been farmed out to the League One Addicks before the start of the season by former manager Roy Keane, after the 23-year-old ex-Manchester United wide-man had failed to hold down a place in the team the previous season.

But Keane’s departure, and Jewell’s arrival, in addition to a change of manager at Charlton - Chris Powell has recently replaced Phil Parkinson at The Valley - has led to Martin returning to Portman Road.

He was not in Charlton’s squad for last weekend’s game against Sheffield Wednesday.
