ON-LOAN Ipswich Town midfielder Jake Livermore has been ruled out of Sunday’s FA Cup tie at Chelsea.
Livermore, who earlier in the week was given permission to play in the third-round tie by parent club Tottenham, has picked up a groin injury.
Ipswich are still waiting on the fitness of central defender Gareth McAuley, who came off at half time of Monday’s 1-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest with a hamstring injury.
Ian McParland, who has been put in temporary charge of the Blues following the departure of manager Roy Keane, said: “We are down to the bare bones.”
McParland, who only expects to be in the hotseat for one game, continued: “Chelsea may be considered to be in poor health, but they have still got world-class players, and I watched them against Wolves and they could have scored four times.”
