JAKE Livermore has experienced at first-hand what it’s like to play under two former Nottingham Forest legends, in Nigel Clough and Roy Keane.

Clough takes his Derby County side to Portman Road tonight, to take on Keane’s men, and Livermore will hope to give his current boss the inside track on the Rams.

Tottenham loanee Livermore, who enjoyed only his fourth start for Town in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Sheffield United, spent the first half of last season on loan at Derby County.

He scored the first League goal of his career, in Derby’s 3-2 defeat at Nottingham Forest in August of last year, so he has a fondness for the Nottingham club.

“Both managers (Clough and Keane) were great players at the City Ground,” explained Livermore.

“I think it’s important that players and characters like that stay within football.

“I enjoyed my time at Derby, and was appreciative of my time there. Like here, Derby are a big club with a big support base.

“Again, like here, there was a great dressing room. I’ve got a few friends there, who I keep in touch with, but we’ll see if we are still friends after this game,” added Livermore.

Town have risen from 14th to sixth in the table, following wins over Millwall and Sheffield United, which sandwiched a Carling Cup success over Northampton Town.
