IPSWICH Town boss Roy Keane admitted at this lunchtime’s Portman Road press conference that there were no new developments on a possible new loan recruit this week.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow night’s home match against league leaders QPR, Keane is chasing a new player to bolster his squad.
But he was quite relaxed about the situation today: “Nothing is moving on,” said Keane with reference to the potential new player, who is believed to be a midfielder from the Premier League.
“We’ve been linked with a number of players over the weekend, all of them wrong.
“People are making a right song and dance about it, but I’m OK about the whole thing. We have a good squad and good numbers.”
Keane confirmed that Darren O’Dea is only 50-50 after limping off injured in Saturday’s goalless draw at Portsmouth. Mark Kennedy is poised to replace him from the start, while winger Andros Townsend is available again after his serving his three-match ban.
