PAUL Jewell is facing an injury crisis ahead of tomorrow’s vital match against Blackpool.

The Blues boss, who is facing mounting pressure following a run of 11 defeats from 14 matches, has not been helped by a dire run of injuries with skipper Grant Leadbitter the latest injury doubt with a hip problem.

With Jimmy Bullard expected to be risked, but possibly only from the bench, Jewell might have no option but to throw in the untested duo of Luke Hyam and Andy Drury in the centre of midfield.

Damien Delaney and Lee Bowyer remain sidelined – throwing up the prospect of the manager having just two fully-fit players in both the centre of his defence and midfield.
