PATIENCE is running out at Ipswich as the loan deal to take David Nugent from Portsmouth drags on.
Blues boss Jim Magilton is keen to take the Pompey striker who has recovered from injury and is working on his fitness but is not willing to wait much longer and has set Nugent a deadline to make the move.
Magilton said: “We have everything agreed with Portsmouth and it may be that David is reluctant to come until he is fit and wants to do himself justice.
“We need to get someone in so we will give David until the end of this week to make his decision and then we will go elsewhere.
“We have done everything we can at this end so we are going to press on.”
Magilton confirmed he is still keen on bringing in a defender on loan and something may happen on that front this week.
