BRIAN Murphy returned to action after a three-month lay-off due to a broken ankle as Ipswich Town Reserves won 3-1 at Watford tonight.
Keeper Murphy enjoyed 90 minutes action, although he was beaten in first-half stoppage time as Matty Whichelow drilled home a superb long-range shot.
But Town registered unanswered goals in the second half with Jack Ainsley equalising (55) and then Billy Clark (75) and Tom Eastman (77) wrapping up the victory.
