Murphy has been sidelined for the last three months with a broken ankle, which he suffered in training before Christmas.
The Irishman’s last outing was a 1-0 defeat at bottom club Preston on December 11.
Fellow keeper Marton Fulop lost his place to Arran Lee-Barrett for last Saturday’s 2-0 win over Scunthorpe.
