EAST Anglian rivals Norwich City have pipped Ipswich Town to the signing of Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Lee Camp.
The EADT understands that the 28-year-old – having agreed a settlement with Forest over the remaining few months of his contarct – is currently on his way to Carrow Road to complete and medical ahead of a free transfer switch.
Having seen Stephen Henderson’s loan spell from West Ham come to an end, Town boss Mick McCarthy had made Camp his number one keeper target.
The Northern Ireland international – who made three appearances on loan for the Canaries in 2006 – has decided to move to the Premier League Canaries though, with England international John Ruddy currently sidelined through injury.
Meanwhile, Town striker Jason Scotland, who has agreed a contract settlement with the Blues to leave Portman Road, is thought to be interesting Wolves and Doncaster.
