Town have confirmed that a standard clause was written into the deals when the duo left for the New York Stadium earlier this season, although Millers’ boss Steve Evans had already said he would not play the pair, whether there was a clause or not.

Wordsworth has scored once in four games for the Millers, while Taylor has yet to net but has been widely regarded in South Yorkshire as one of the Millers’ best players this season.

Both players’ loans will run until the New Year.

Three other former Town players, Paul Green, Scott Loach and Frazer Richardson are likely to be in Rotherham’s squad for Saturday’s game.
