The experienced keeper was an unexpected absentee at Selhurst Park on Saturday with young US stopper Cody Cropper, who like Wright is also out of contract in the summer, deputising on the bench.
Blues boss Paul Jewell explained after the match that Wright was suffering from a cartilage problem in his knee – having suffered the injury in training.
The keeper now looks unlikely to feature in any of Town’s final three matches.
Meanwhile, Jewell has revealed that Daryl Murphy suffered a slight hamstring strain during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace.
