IPSWICH Town utility player Matt Richards is set to rejoin Brighton again on loan until January.

IPSWICH Town utility player Matt Richards is set to rejoin Brighton again on loan until January.

The 23-year-old made 33 appearances for the Seagulls during a previous loan spell last season, and is to join up with former Colchester United assistant Micky Adams, now boss at the seaside club.

Richards rejoined the Blues at the end of last season, only to be transfer listed this summer.

The former England Under-21 international now appears to be way down the Portman Road pecking order, with Gary Roberts finding form again, Ben Thatcher on trial and a move for Southampton's Rudi Skacel ongoing.

Brighton fans will be used to seeing Ipswich faces at the Withdean, with Dean Bowditch and former Blue Ian Westlake enjoying loan spells there last season.

Winger Darren Currie is also a player to have played for both clubs.
