BOSSES at Ipswich Town today announced an extension to the club's season ticket offer - due to the appointment of new boss Roy Keane.

The excitement created by the Irishman's arrival has caused the Portman Road ticket office telephones to start buzzing again.

Now, as a further incentive to get behind the Super Blues' 2009/10 promotion campaign, the club has extended the Early Bird Season Ticket offer until Sunday, May 3, the last day of the league season.

Nearly 13,000 Town supporters took advantage of the original offer and those who decide now to purchase a season ticket will have all the benefits of the original package.

These include the 50 per cent Premiership Cashback rebate and interest-free payments over an extended seven-month period, between June and December 2009.

In addition, any supporters who have bought a season ticket at the full price after the original Early Bird deadline will be given an appropriate refund.

A one-off 10 supplementary fee will be charged to all adult, concession and under-20 buyers who take up the short-term offer. There will be no additional charges for under-16 and under-11 season ticket buyers.

The offer means that adult season ticket holders renewing their seat will save an average of around 100 on standard season ticket prices.

In a direct appeal to fans uncertain on whether to invest in a season ticket, manager Keane said: “I've come here to take this club to the Premier League…that's the target, the only target.”

Town chief executive Simon Clegg added: “Roy Keane's appointment has created a huge buzz not only locally but also in Ireland.

“We have therefore decided to open up the Early Bird Season Ticket offer to ensure that more Town fans can join us on this journey to future success.

“Home support is absolutely critical to success on the pitch and I hope that new and old supporters will want to be part of this fantastic journey.

“Supporters can be the 12th player on the pitch and we need to recreate the atmosphere from last Sunday on a week-in, week-out basis.”
