A BRACE from right back Jack Ainsley and further goals from Reggie Lambe and Ronan Murray saw Town comfortably beat Southend 4-0 in the totesport.com Combination at Playford Road this afternoon.
This was a third win on the bounce for Chris Kiwomya’s side after they found themselves at then foot of the table going into the New Year.
Southend watched by first team manager Paul Sturrock presented stronger opposition than Colchester last week when the Blues also won 4-0, but a strong second-half display saw Ipswich win well.
Shane O’Connor played 90 minutes after his appendicitis scare and impressed while Conor Hourihane was involved in most of the best Town moments with every home player doing well.
