BLUE Square Premier League Crawley Town defender Jamie Stevens is to have a trial with Ipswich Town this week.
Stevens, who played against Town in a pre-season game last summer, was born in Holbeach and previously played for Boston.
He has also been the subject of interest from Norwich and Crystal Palace.
Meanwhile, Plymouth manager Paul Sturrock says that Ipswich number one transfer window target David Norris could still have a lengthy future with the Pilgrims despite putting in a transfer request, which was turned down.
"David gave a really professional performance against Portsmouth on Saturday," said Sturrock. "He could be highly valued here for some time to come."
