BLACKBURN full back Pascal Chimbonda is being linked with a move to Ipswich Town.
Chimbonda was on the verge of joining npower Championship leaders QPR, but is believed to have pulled out of a 500,000 deal and is set to be reunited with former manager Paul Jewell at Portman Road.
Chimbonda played under Jewell at Wigan Athletic, before joining Tottenham in a 4.5m move after handing in a transfer request while still in his kit after the final game of Wigan’s first season in the Barclays Premier League five years ago.
The 31-year-old has been training on his own after Blackburn manager Steve Kean decided he had no future at Ewood Park - a decision made by his predecessor Sam Allardyce.
The move to QPR was shelved at the last minute when new Ipswich boss Jewell made his interest known.
