IPSWICH Town midfielder Liam Trotter could be on his way back to Scunthorpe.
The Championship club are believed to be showing a keen interest in the 21-year-old, who helped them gain promotion while on loan at Glanfield Park last season.
Trotter had an offer to sign full time for Scunthorpe last summer, but chose instead to accept Blues manager Roy Keane's offer of a further one-year deal at Portman Road.
He has made 12 appearances in the Town first team this term, but was not in the final 18 for the last match at Reading a fortnight ago.
Trotter scored for the reserves on Tuesday at Luton, and looks as though he will be on his way back to Scunthorpe on loan. The Iron were reported earlier in the week to be interested in taking Town's Owen Garvan on loan.
