IPSWICH Town have completed the signing of Argentinean midfielder Luciano Civelli on a three-and-a-half year contract.

The 22-year-old joins the Blues for a fee believed to be around 1.1 million.

The 6ft 1in tall left-sided player holds an Italian passport so will need no work permit and could feature in Saturday's home game against Plymouth.

Town scouts Steve McCall and Simon Hunt spotted Civelli on their recent trip to Argentina looking for January additions to the squad, with one more possible addition before the transfer winter closes next Monday.
