DAMIEN Delaney has signed for Crystal Palace on a free transfer after being allowed to leave Ipswich Town yesterday.
Delaney said: “I’m really impressed, I’ve come here this morning seen the training ground and trained for the first time.
“I knew two or three of the lads so they made me feel welcome straight away. The manager’s enthusiasm you can see in his training sessions. That’s what I want to get on board with. It just felt right.”
The central defender has agreed a short-term deal and will be in the Palace squad for tomorrow’s match against Sheffield Wednesday.
