IPSWICH Town will not renew their interest in Leicester City winger Paul Gallagher on transfer deadline day – despite the fact he could now be available on a free transfer.
The Blues enquired about the 26-year-old at the start of the summer, with manager Paul Jewell a big admirer of the set-piece specialist.
The Foxes are keen get Gallagher – one of their higher earners – off a spiralling wage bill. And with three years left on the player’s current deal, manager Nigel Pearson has steadily dropped his valuation from an initial 750,000.
A source close to the club has told the Green’Un that the Foxes may even let Gallagher go on a free transfer this afternoon, but we understand that Town are still put off by sizeable personal terms.
