CONNOR Wickham went over heavily on his ankle against Hull on Saturday, but the good news for Ipswich Town fans is that their 17-year-old star man will be fit for tomorrow’s big match at league leaders QPR.

Manager Paul Jewell revealed, at this lunchtime’s press conference, that he has a clean bill of health and no new injuries, so Wickham is again set to operate on the left side of a 4-3-3 formation.

“Connor went over on his ankle on Saturday, but he’s OK,” confirmed Jewell.

The Town boss will welcome back Jimmy Bullard into the squad, after the Hull loanee was not allowed to play against his parent club in Saturday’s 1-1 draw. Bullard looks likely to go straight back into the side.
