CONNOR Wickham has this morning been injured in England Under-21s’ training.
The Ipswich Town young gun was tackled in a “firm but fair” challenge by team mate Phil Jones, the centre back who is close to completing his move to Manchester United.
Eye-witnesses revealed that Wickham hobbled off for treatment although initial indications from inside the camp are that the injury is not thought to be too serious.
England Under-21s flew out to Denmark yesterday to prepare for their first match in the European Championships on Sunday night against Spain.
