SEAN Clancy’s second half strike was enough to see Braintree Town’s six-game run come to an end.
Iron had hit back within a minute of Fleetwood taking the lead in the 20th minute, through a Jamie Milligan penalty, Kenny Davis striking home for the home side from 20 yards.
Iron were the better team in the first half and could have done without the half-time whistle.
Because in the second half, they were second best, as Fleetwood took a lead they easily held onto.
