COLCHESTER United need to recruit some experience, to improve their chances of beating the drop, and one familiar face looks set to return to the club in the next few days.
Jabo Ibehre, who had a good three months on loan from MK Dons before the turn of the year, is poised to sign for the U’s.
The 29-year-old striker remains the club’s leading scorer with four goals.
Manager Joe did not quite mention him by name, but he did infer that Ibehre was on the point of signing.
“I’m 99% sure I’ve brought an experienced powerful player to the club this weekend, which will make us stronger in the spine of the team.
“He’s known to you, and been here,” confirmed Dunne.
The U’s lost their ninth match on the spin against Scunthorpe on Saturday, to slip into the relegation zone.
