John Sands, blue, who has left Leiston to join Boston United
Leiston have been dealt a blow ahead of their FA Trophy game against Corinthian Casuals this weekend, with the departure of star striker John Sands.
Sands left Leiston to join National League North Boston United – formerly a Football League club between 2002 and 2007 – on Thursday evening after recently relocating near the Pilgrims.
He scored six times in 20 appearances for the Blues this season, after joining from Suffolk rivals Bury Town in February.
