Keeper Jones to join Debenham

DEBENHAM LC are set to sign goalkeeper Liam Jones from Felixstowe & Walton United.

The former Needham Market keeper has agreed to join the Hornets, who were relegated from the Premier Division of the Ridgeons League last season.

New Debenham manager Rob Allum said: “I have known Liam since he was 15 or 16. He has been one of the best keepers in the league for some time.

“He will be a great signing for us and it will send a message out that we are not there to make the numbers up.”

Allum has also signed former Needham Market striker Jack Severy, who was on loan at Felixstowe last season before joining Hadleigh United.
