Ladies’ hockey team looking for a new goalkeeper and coach

Ipswich East Suffolk Hockey Club’s ladies’ first team are on the search for a new goalkeeper to play in East Division Two (North East) every Saturday.

The club, who play their games at Copleston High School, also requires a coach for the ladies’ squad to work with both the first and second teams.

The club trains on Wednesday nights between 7pm and 8.30pm and any goalkeeper interested in trying out for the first team can contact captain Sam Simpson on 07811 207451.

IES, who have two ladies teams and five men’s teams, are also holding a fun day on September 1 including a mixed 6s hockey tournament, a rounders match, a giant jenga tournament, a barbecue and much more at Copleston High School (10.30am start).

An Olympic-themed fancy dress disco will finish off the day at Rushmere Sports Club (7.30pm). Tickets are priced at �3 per person/family tickets �5 (two adults, two children) Additional children �1.
