COLCHESTER United boss Paul Lambert will have to make at least a couple of changes for tonight's Johnstone's Paint Trophy southern area semi-final at Luton.

Striker Jermaine Easter is set to miss out after damaging his knee midway through the first-half at Leeds. Scott Vernon is therefore likely to partner Clive Platt up front.

And Shrewsbury Town loanee Marc Tierney is cup-tied, having played for the Shropshire club in this competition earlier in the season.

Dean Gerken might also be handed a start in goal, having lost his place to West Ham loanee Jimmy Walker in recent weeks.

It will be a special evening for club captain Chris Coyne, who made 252 senior appearances for Luton before his £350,000 switch to the U's. Coyne has been named in this week's League One Team-of-the-Week for his sound defensive display at Leeds.
