COLCHESTER United boss Paul Lambert was happy with his side's comfortable win at Yeovil, although the result and performance did not tell him anything new.

The Scotsman is still set to make some big changes, starting on Monday when he informs the players of who he wants to stay, and who he wants to leave, for next season.

First-half goals from Ashley Vincent and Mark Yeates, after 13 and 15 minutes, secured a 12th away league win of the season at Huish Park. Only four teams can boast better away records in League One this term.

“I never thought we were going to lose this one. I enjoyed it today,” insisted Lambert.

“It was a good performance. Ashley (Vincent) took his goal well. He has that in his locker to score goals, having scored six for Cheltenham in a struggling team earlier in the season.

“And Mark Yeates did well to score 13 goals this season, especially as he is not a natural goalscorer. His game has just lacked consistency.

“I gave a few of the other lads a run-out today, though it hasn't told me anything that I didn't already know. I'll be having a chat with the players individually on Monday, and we'll go from there.

“We'll be giving it a right go next season!” added Lambert.
