Colchester boxer Lee Purdy will fight for the IBF world welterweight title in the United States next month.
The 25-year-old has replaced Sheffield’s Kell Brook against Devon Alexander in Atlantic City on May 18.
Purdy currently holds the IBF international welterweight belt.
He last fought on March 10, when he stopped Mexican Cosme Rivera in the ninth round.
Purdy has won 20 of his 24 pro fights.
